Propose a Class

Do you have a great idea for a woodworking class? Do you have a passion for teaching woodworking to others? What ways must this art and trade innovate in order to adapt to today’s society? We’re accepting proposals for new and interesting courses. What have you got?

 

Request for Proposals for 2026 Courses 


In the spirit of building more diverse course offerings, the PTSW Programs Committee would like to invite woodworkers and woodworking enthusiasts to submit proposals for our 2026 calendar year. Please be creative and share this broadly! 

The Details:
If a template is helpful, please download a copy of this document

Content must include:

Instructor’s name 

Short course description (one to two paragraphs) 

Course length 

Preferred quarter (Spring, Summer, Fall) 

Instructor photos or drawings (links to websites, social media, etc.) 


To Submit:

Put content/proposal into a document (not in an email body, please) 

Send the document as an attachment to raphael@ptwoodschool.org 


Review Process:

The PTSW Programs Committee, made up of PTSW staff and the board of directors, will review proposals in April of 2025. 

The Programs Committee will use, but not be limited to, the following tools to help determine which proposals to respond to: 

Diversity of course content and techniques

Equitable representation in the woodworking field 

History with the school 

Marketability of course offering 

Instructor experience
