Meet Foundations of Woodworking instructor Gina Bonneau

Gina Bonneau

Gina moved to Washington from the Midwest in 2012 to attend the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. From there she went on to do shipwright and finish work, assist in a studio furniture shop, and work as a residential carpenter. One of her most satisfying projects was rebuilding the foredeck on a wooden tugboat, in part because of how the beauty and utility of the end result belied the structural complexity holding it together. Also, it was fun.

Gina is excited about engaging in meaningful skill sharing, especially in support of new woodworkers who are interested in building their careers. She loves helping friends with building projects on their homes. She dreams of building her own house one day, and then filling it with puppies.
