Annalise Rubida

Annalise Rubida is a fine furniture maker specializing in chairmaking. A Port Townsend local, she took the Foundations in Woodworking course at PTSW and eventually joined the faculty. She was a valuable member of the instructor team for five years and now joins us as a guest instructor.

Annalise loves making seemingly complicated and imposing projects approachable for students. She is deeply committed to equity work in the woodworking and chairmaking world by working to make it more accessible to folks not historically welcome in the field.

She is inspired by creating intentional, impactful, and functional furniture. Annalise loves both hand tools and machines and finding ways to use both combining efficiency & enjoyment.
